Why natural fibre socks
Wool and alpaca regulate temperature and resist odour in a way synthetic yarn cannot, which is why they stay comfortable through a full day and need washing less often. Alpaca in particular gives warmth for its weight, and it does not contain the same natural lanolin associated with sheep's wool, so it suits people who find wool socks uncomfortable.
Linen socks are the summer version of the same idea: breathable, quick to dry, and cool against the skin on a warm evening.
Care
Follow the care label on the individual product. Wool and alpaca knits keep their shape best when dried flat rather than hung.
