Linen Tablecloths for Everyday and Fine Dining
Laying a cloth changes a table before a single plate goes down. Ours are 100% stonewashed linen, cut generously so they fall properly over the edge, and relaxed enough to go straight back on after a wash. Nine designs, from quiet naturals to fine dining whites.

How to choose the right size
Start with the drop — how far the cloth hangs over the edge. For everyday meals, 6 to 12 inches looks right and stays out of the way. For formal or fine dining, go up to 15 inches for a fuller, more deliberate fall. Measure the length and width of your table, then add twice the drop to each. A 60 x 36 inch table with a 10 inch drop needs a cloth around 80 x 56 inches.
If the table extends for guests, size for the extended length. A cloth that is slightly too large reads as generous; one that is too small never looks right.
Why linen for the table
Linen absorbs spills faster than cotton and releases them just as readily in the wash, which matters more on a dining table than anywhere else in the house. It softens every time you launder it, and the gentle rumple it settles into is the point rather than a flaw — there is no obligation to iron unless you want the crispness.
Our Maison and Loire tablecloths are both 100% stonewashed linen and machine washable.
Care
Machine wash in cool to warm water with a gentle pH-balanced detergent, avoid bleach and harsh chemicals, then air dry or tumble on low.
